It was January 22nd, 2006 when many witnessed Kobe Bryant go off 81 points against the Toronto Raptors, an achievement recognized on the Hyperdunk. Entitled ”Kobe Making History 81”, the Nike Hyperdunk pictured above consists of an interesting series of elements. For example, a lasered design can be found on the toe of the Hyperdunk, where hints of blue also appear. Additionally, Kobe Bryant’s sheath logo can be found on the tongue while his teams colors of purple and gold can be found throughout the sneaker. Via RMK on the ‘Bay.John McEnroe had quite an admirable Tennis career and is the source of inspiration designing of Nike’s Air Zoom Tennis Trainer. Originally wearing the Air Trainer I, McEnroe’s sneakers of choice influence the color-way seen above, white/black/neutral grey/deep royal.
Aside from its simple color combination, this sneaker has comfort written all over it.
